I usually wear an 8.5 and based on other reviews from bogs boots, I went up to 9. the boots fit well. I wore them with thick socks (Socks). There is still some room for manoeuvre in the area of the feet in length and width, which allows my feet to breathe. keep the water out that keeps feet dry and happy. they hit about mid-calf, which is just below the widest part of my calf.
